Consumenten gaan conversatie aan met merken

60% van de online Belgen is lid van Facebook. Meer dan de helft van de Belgische internetgebruikers beschrijft wel eens positieve of negatieve ervaringen met merken of bedrijven op sociale netwerksites. Bovendien zijn ze ook benieuwd naar de reacties van bedrijven op hun feedback. Consumenten willen met andere woorden een continue relatie opbouwen met merken waarin ze interesse hebben. Dit is de kernconclusie uit een recent onderzoek van InSites Consulting onder 1700 respondenten.

940 million social media users in the world

72% of Internet users are part of at least one social network, which translates to 940 million users worldwide. These are the results of a global study among 2,800 Internet users carried out by the research agency InSites Consulting. Eastern Europe and Asia are the regions with the lowest use (4 out of 10), while South America has the highest usage in terms of percentage (95%). Globally, Facebook remains the most popular online platform (51% use Facebook), followed by MySpace (20%) and Twitter (17%).

One third of shoppers spent less on shopping this holiday season

During the past holiday season 80% of the participants bought a present for at least one person. On average 40% of the people donated money to a good cause. One third of shoppers indicate that they spend less on shopping this year compared to last year. These are the results of the InSites pan-European research project on consumers’ shopping behavior during the holiday season in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and UK.
